• The order in which to free the constellations can be chosen. Some paths may be easier than others.
• The ship's weaponry can be upgraded to double shot lasers.
• Some objects can only be destroyed by laser fire.
• Other upgrades include bonus lives and shields.
  
• The remaining number of lives is indicated by the number of jet flares of the ship.
• Some warp stages of certain constellations are good for easily collecting upgrades.
• Some warp stages of other constellations are hard to survive without having upgrades.
• The escape maneuver can be used to strategically switch between constellations and warp stages.
