Synopsis
Wetcat is about a curious little
cat that got lost deep in the city's sewage
system.
Suddenly the water level rises
and the cat has to find a way out. Because the
water level is rising fast, the only way out
is up the closest shaft.
The cat has to make its way up
the shaft by jumping on randomly generated
platforms. There are different kinds of
platforms with different properties. Two
platforms may also be connected by a ladder
the cat can climb after holding onto it.
Sometimes one or more mice may be
spawned on a platform who drop stones on the
cat. If the cat gets hit by a stone, the game
is over.
The cat can temporarily scare
away the mice by hissing, but the mice will
return later in higher count.
When near a mice, the cat can
kill a mouse by scratching it.
The water level constantly rises
which is implemented by the screen scrolling
from top to bottom. The scroll rate of the
screen constantly increases. If the cat
touches the water at the lower border of the
screen, the game is over.
